I used to buy lots of single player games way back, but these days i find the AI in the types of games i like to play to be far to predictable, gets boring very quickly
I think the only recent single player game i played through was HalfLife 2, and of course epesode1, but i mainly bought HL2 for the multiplayer mods and other content

Hey guys, sorry if this question is asked often.
I have an iPod Touch 4G that I had jailbroken on 4.2.1, but I messed with some system files that I shouldn't have messed with and I had to restore and update to 4.3. Is there anyway I can downgrade to 4.2.1 so I can jailbreak again?
You can but its very complicated you must have your 4.2.1 file saved

If I remember correctly I needed the jumper on 1.5 for my xserve but I left everything alone on all the other xserves even my g5. I want to say something else about my old trusty g5....it have a slightly faster network transfer rate than all my other xserves
OK I tried a 3tb Hitachi in my 2009 xserve and it only reports 2.2tb, so I think 2.2 is the limit.

Are you trying to ftp to a windows box with firewall enabled, but not configure properly for ftp? That is exactly what happens.

I'd probably do it with a combo of Acrobat Pro because it has some OCR capabilities and some Automator chops, combined with Photoshop batch processing. It would take me a while to consult on particularly with Automator, work out and test.
Think this query goes beyond the scope of the Design and Graphics forum, to be honest as it involves some OS X chops, or even Windows since you haven't even specified what OS your buddy is using.

The answer BEFORE Thunderbolt would have been more difficult. Assuming TB external drives, I'd say iMac.

Is anyone running Lion on a lower-powered machine? I'd like to hear feedback on those who have tried it on an 11" MBA.
Search this forum, there's some threads about folks running lion on a core duo (not core 2 duo) cpu

Yeah, craigslist is up and down. I am selling some of my camera equipment on there and get a ton of emails, but a lot of them are really low offers. I don't mind them, but I laugh when people get upset when I say no.

As mentioned on previous post, you need to have your SHSHs saved if you want to installed anything else than the current firmware released by Apple, (currently 4.3). The windows where Apple was signing those SHSHs for 4.2.1 have already been closed (so unless somehow you got your SHSHs saved by tiny Umbrella or Cydia before) your only option is to upgrade to 4.3 or wait out for a Jailbreak tool.
Jailbreak tools don't help restore to earlier firmware. It's more the other way around -- people save SHSHs in case a jailbreak method requires a downgrade to earlier firmware. If you didn't save the SHSH, there's no way to downgrade, now or ever.

Preserve it in case you want to go back to 4.2.1 - the newest baseband isn't 100% compatible with older firmware. 4.2.1 is great as it doesn't have the "glitchiness" of 4.3.x

There are so many threads on this general topic, that, ugh, please just search for them? But on the specific issue of TBE not working on your Mac, what do you mean? This sounds abnormal. I use FF and love it on my Mac. And I have TBE, and it works fine. The only thing that's flaky for me in TBE is closing FF and re-starting and having tabs resurrected on restart. That has never worked properly for me on PC or Mac. But TBE behaves the same for me on both OSes.
OTOH, I definitely do agree that a number of themes behave strangely on FF/Mac. Try Safarish -- http://www.aroussi.com/article/11/firefox-osx-safari-look -- if you like the way Safari *looks*. NOIA Xtreme worked pretty well for me on my Mac too.

So, I picked up a set and thought I might post up some thoughts here in case you are thinking about buying a pair.
First impressions are quite good. The packaging lends itself to a quality air. When you first try out the headphones you'll notice the very subtle looks. Personally, I think its brilliant to have a $200 pair of headphones not draw too much attention. So, I approve. There's a carrying case, a few different tips to help you get the feel you are comfortable with.
On to the sound, before you even turn them on you'll notice these block a lot of background noise when properly inserted. Etymotic claims roughly 40db of noise reduction and I believe it. If you aren't noticing this then you probably don't have them far enough into your ears or you have on tips that don't fit properly.
How do they sound when you start playing music? Well, I've listened to a variety of music through them ranging from Jazz to Blue, Rock to Metal, Club to Pop, Country to Western so far and have gotten a good feel for their style of sound reproduction. Its very restrained and accurate as is fitting for in ear monitors. These are not Beats by Dre and you will not be impressed if you connect them to a low quality source or you play poorly stored music. Now, if you have a good source and good music you'll start to hear the music the way it was recorded. Meaning a well engineered track will reveal things you've never heard before and a poorly recorded track will sound like warm dog poop.
Whether thats appealing to you or not really depends on the kind of music you want to hear so I'm not going to pass judgement on it other than to say that I like accurate monitors and these are just great.
If you read online you'll hear a lot of reviews on these and other Etymotic's that complain about a lack of bass response so I think a few comments on that are needed. If you compare these to a pair of Bose, Beats, Sony's and the like you'll not be impressed with the bass since they are accurate. The Etymotic's will not over-emphasize the bass and drown out the mids and highs. You'll hear a nicely balanced bass, mids and treble. I've got a pounding house beat going as I type this and it just rocks albeit softly. Its also a very accurate bass. I've picked up a few things in well known songs that I've never hear. Now, I'm used to that in the vocals or instruments but I was a bit surprised to have that happen with the bass line.
All in all I'm impressed and happy. They are a bit pricey at $198 including tax from my local Apple store but if they last they will be well worth it.
If you have any questions or comment post below and I'll try to respond quickly.

also you can connect apple display with mini displayport to thunderbolt.
Yes. Thunderbolt uses the same connector as mDP so any existing mDP device will work without any adapters in TB port.
what the diference it would be if a display has thunderbolt? bigger resolution because of higher speed?
Thunderbolt uses DisplayPort 1.1a so it's not any faster than normal (Mini) DisplayPort. However, it can carry other data too because of the 10Gb/s PCIe channel it has, so it would eliminate the need of USB cable for data.
and what would daisy-chaining give me?
That means the ACD would act as a hub. For example, if you have an ACD with TB and ext HD with TB, you connect one cable from the ACD to the MBP and the other port(s) can be used to connect other TB devices. That way you don't have to get a hub to attach multiple devices into one port.
TB supports up to 7 devices in one port.
