All,
I am a little confused. I just got my H1B extension done recently and my attorney sent me a letter saying that if I go out of the country for stamping I need to make sure my Passport is valid beyond the H1B period.
My passport expires in May 2008 and my current H1 is valid till July 2010. Does anyone see any issues in going for stamping in India in July 2007 with my current passport and later on some time next year applying for a new Indian passport.

hi, i recently filed 485,EAD,AP for my wife and the attorney asked for check of $1010/- that includes unlimited EAD renewals.
Is this really possible ? Please advise.

Just go to online address change and do it for all your petitions.
On another note, is it true that people are getting RFEs when they do address change? Has anyone faced this?
What I have heard is that if your new address is 200+ miles away from the old address, you are most certainly going to get a EVL RFE. One of my friends' recently changed his address within the same city and never got RFE.

I am on H1B. my wife is on H4. I want to apply ITIN no for my wife.
Q1. should i file under "Spouse of U.S. citizen/resident alien" or "Dependent/spouse of a nonresident alien holding a U.S. visa".
Q2. what are the documents I need to submit with the W-7 form.
Q3. is ITIN application only possible during tax return filing or I can apply and get the ITIN number early and then use it during my tax filing.
Q4. How much is the fee for the ITIN no.

My 6 years of H1B expires next month (April 2009). My PERM labor was applied in Feb 2008 and got approved last week. My question is, can I apply for 7th year H1B extension based on the approved PERM (since it was filed more than 365 days ago)? Attorney says there is not enough time to file I-140 and get it approved (even with Premium processing) before my H1 runs out next month.
From my research online there are two options to extend H1 beyond 6 years:
- PERM pending for more than 365 days, or
- I140 approved
What about the scenario where PERM is filed more than 365 days ago and approved, but no I-140 yet?
Gurus I'd really appreciate your inputs here!!

FWIW, I think it has potential, maybe make it a bit darker and moodier, it looks a bit blown out in places. If I may be brutally honest I think the subject matter is much more interesting than the picture itself, but with some more work...

In our 485 application, the lawyer put my divorce certificate from my previous marriage in my file but not in my wife's file. According to the 485 instruction, my divorce certificate should be included in my wife's file as initial evidence because she is the derivative applicant.

I got my GC approved for me and son (I485 application) in Nov 2007. I got my gc, whereas for my son who is 7 year old though he got I485 approved yet he did not get his GC. They mentioned they might need his finger print and so far no response from them. This is despite several follow up with them.
Last year 7 months he was not in US and now can he go to India and he will be there rest of this year.
Will it affect his GC and when will he get his GC?

How long ago was this approval done and from which service center ?
Also do you remember how long it took for the receipt notice ? I hear for PP services one also get a receipt thro' e-mail if provided by the attorney.
