IV needs every bit of support that we can provide. The time is past where we sit by and do nothing! It is time for each and everyone of us to let lawmakers of this country know how we are being exploited... or how each and everyone of us has to keep his\her lives on hold for the dream of a GC!
Please do not think sit back thinking "Let them do the rallying... I will enjoy the benefit(s)".

My current reporting structure with my employer is:
Client -> Prime Vendor -> Consultant X -> My employer
Another consultant is ready to transfer my visa and the reporting structure there is
Client -> Prime Vendor -> My employer
A prime vendor (not the same client) is also ready to transfer my visa
Client -> My employer
I am planning to transfer it to either (or both) of the above two companies. Will there be a problem in those two companies filing for a tranfer at (approx) the same time?
Is there a way I can ask an attorney directly (I am willing to pay for that service)

I too, am in process of changing my address, however in this transition period I have put a hold in USPS mail. This way, I got all my travel docs from local post office safely. A colleague of mine had same exact situation like you, and he had to re-file it again.
Once the travel docs are lost, USCIS will not re-send them to you. They shall ask you to refile it completely.

Last December, 2006 I got laid off because of company downsizing. My last pay stub was dated 12/15/2006. My LC was pending more than 365 days in my last company. Recently I got new job offer. My new company attorney is collecting all my immigration related information for filing H1-B extension from me. I have almost 60 days employment gap when my new company attorney file my 8th year H1-B extension.
I like to know the consequence of my 60 days employment gap. Whether my H1-B extension will be denied by USCIS? I will greatly appreciate your valuable suggestions as I am very much worried.

I thought that the ideal time would be before applying for I485, and thus the dependant spouse would automatically get a gc with which ever spouse got the gc first. So I would think that both applying and getting married before either I485 is submitted, and who ever gets gc first their dependant spouse gets it too.
If the I485 is already filed I don't know if it can be amended.
I'm no attorney so you need to throughly research this.
This is true if you are applyinf through employer based. But our guy is applying through family based and he marrying before getting his GC could push him to the next category and a wait of several years.

My Father is applying for Citizenship in Nov 10. If he becomes Citizen then can I file I485 under F3(married sons and daughters of citizen parents). Category and port priority date of May 03 from my employment base I-485 to I-485 under F3?

no it doesnt....check on ..there are so many people getting consecutive luds...but then they dont get approvals. in the end it means that its a new lud. someone accessed your case and the lud was either because some accessed it or it was a system generated lud.

I had contacted all the senators and house reps in New Mexico via their website and heard back from Senator Jeff Bingaman.

I (and my spouse as dependent) applied for I-485, AP, and EAD on July 17, 07 and am yet to get the receipt notice. My (and my spouse's) H-1 expires on 12/31/07 and I plan to travel out of the US between November 8 and December 24.
In case, the I-485 receipt notice does not come before we leave, would we be considered as having abandoned the PR application? Any idea how long it might take for the receipt notice to come for people in my shoes?
