Canada option though attractive has his own problems and I mean serious problems!. When you apply for stamping, consulate will first cancel your existing visa so if your H1B is denied you have to go to your home country from Canada!

I got an email from DOS (TRTClearanceResponses@state.gov) as follows:
Dear XXX
We can now conclude your application for a nonimmigrant visa. Please mail the following items to the Non-Immigrant Visa Unit, 360 University Avenue , Toronto , ON M5G 1S4 or appear with them in person at 225 Simcoe St. at your earliest convenience within sixty (60) days of this notice, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9 AM and 11 AM , excluding U.S. and Canadian holidays. No new appointment is necessary. Please mail or bring:
o This request.
o The notice of suspension TRT/NIV-13(A) received at your interview.
o Your passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from today�s date).
o All documents that you submitted with your original application (e.g. I-797, I-20, DS-1029, etc.).

Mine is H1B 3 extension for 7th year at Mumbai. I am not getting any help in this matter from the authorities that my lawyer has contacted...only the standard response that it they are awaiting a response.

I have been filling up I-485 all day . Online forms sent from attorney but no help with topics. I am confused by these
Visa Number - is this a number that is stamped on your passport when u entered US? My visa in passport expired long time back. I have my WAC number- is that what is required to enter?
Alien Number - is this the I-94 number?
anywhere i can find a sample I-485 filled in ?

My H1B visa expires on Sep 22nd of this year. I am going to file for an extension but the only concern i have is my passport expires in July 2010. Does the passport expiry date matter for the H1B extension process..i know that the visa procedure requires a passport valid for at least 6 months.

One of the clients is not considering EAD as a valid document to enter their facilities. Funny thing is their security team are ok if you have valid visa and I94 but not EAD.
I think this is more of ignorance about EAD.
Can some provide doucumentation which says discrimination of EAD is violation of Law? or some thing that says EAD is a valid document to work adn stay in the country.
I 9 form does have i 766 as valid entry.
